Youth & Social Media Panel (12pm)

No Cost

This panel will cover some positive fundamentals on how youth should use social media.

Know Your Worth Panel (1:15pm)

No Cost

This panel's primary focus on understanding your personal value and the inportance of your online presence and representation.

Making Money Online (2:30pm)

No Cost

This panel will educate and show youth various positive ways to make money online.

Youth in Sports Panel (3:45pm)

No Cost

This panel will focus on the student athlete. Youth will learn how to become better athletes and students. Resources will be provided for training, tutoring and college preperation. The Austin Spurs will facilitate this panel along with past/present professional athletes.

Supporting Athletes (5pm)

No Cost

This will be a panel tailored for parents who have student athletes. It will be facilitated by the Austin Spurs, coaches and administrators that work with students. This panel will guide parents on productive involvement and decision making for their children. **We children to attend with thier parents.**

Event Summary

Jump On It University Youth Panels will focus on social media, sports and monetizing online activity. The scheduled panels are listed below.

  • Youth & Social Media 12pm
  • Know Your Worth 1:15pm
  • Youth in Sports 3:30pm
  • Supporting Athletes 4:45pm  
  • Making Money Online 6:30pm

The purpose of these panels are to educate youth on how to utilize social media in a positive way. Youth will learn how to navigate through negative influences and content, how to avoid cyber bullying and how to turn social media interactions into productive activity. Panels will hone in on teaching youth how to discover and understand their value as person and the importance of their online presence and representation. Panels will be facilitated by Jump On It in collaboration with the Austin Spurs and the African American Youth Harvest Foundation. The "Supporting Athletes" panel is for parents that have kids involved in sports.

The under 17 Teen Party & Show will take place at 7pm in the Student Union following the panels. Reserve entry here
